The National Boys Choir of Australia, perhaps recognised by most Australians from the iconic Qantas television commercials, will be touring Western Australia this September.
The Choir is currently enjoying a range of celebrations - 2014 marks their 50th anniversary, having been founded by Kevin Casey (the present Co-Artistic Director's father) in Melbourne in 1964.
The programme for the National Boys Choir of Australia's performance is varied and demonstrates the Choir's diverse range. This year's repertoire includes works by J.S. Bach, John Rutter, three new songs by Australian composer Daniel Riley and choral selections from Fiddler on the Roof. The Choir will also sing 'that' song from the Qantas commercials as well as Australian folk songs.
The Choir has toured internationally on 15 occasions over its 50-year history with destinations including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany and more.
Local groups Bunbury Men of Song and Bunbury Young Voices will also perform with the Choir on the night.
