Battle of the Bands

Friday 17 April 06:00 PM
Battle of the Bands

In collaboration with the City of Bunbury's The Shift Youth Arts Festival in April, BREC will host a Battle of the Bands competition on Friday 17 April at The Cube theatre. Entry is FREE!

After receiving a high level of entries, BREC and the City of Bunbury are pleased to announce the five finalists: Third Time Round (Bunbury), Three Steps North (Bunbury), Said the People (Busselton), Winter's Saviour (Bunbury) and The Keeblers (Bunbury). These five bands will be rocking it out for a chance to win a paid gig at BREC's Out of the Box + Into the Cube event in May.

The Battle of the Bands will be a night packed with entertainment for youth aged 12 and up. There will be activities, games and a DJ setting a vibe in the Sky Bar, competitions and prizes to be won throughout the night, and a special guest line-up judging the bands.

The Youth Arts Festival is a week long, youth-driven event to be held in the City of Bunbury during National Youth Week 2015. The festival will run from 13-19 April and will encompass workshops and events across the performing, visual and literary arts. Working with the theme of Revolution, the festival aims to engage the whole Bunbury community, with particular focus on skills development and community engagement for young people.
