Performances at BREC August 04 and 05

Aliwa yeyi! (Look out now)! Feathers will fly!

West Australian Opera in conjunction with Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre , is seeking to engage 35 young singers aged between 10 and 17 years of age to join us on stage for the upcoming Bunbury tour of Koolbardi wer Wardong

Koolbardi the magpie and Wardong the crow are very proud, vain, jealous brothers. Their cunning, rivalry and one-upmanship brings them unstuck in spectacular fashion. Journey back to the Nyittiny, the time of Creation, where love, loyalty, betrayal and jealousy are all stretched to their limits.

Koolbardi wer Wardong will be performed in Noongar language.

Children’s Chorus (Barna) auditions will be led by Regional Choral Director Danielle Bond, and Assistant Regional Choral Director, Charmaine Councillor.

Please download the BARNA Schedule HERE for the full list of rehearsal, staging and performance calls. Highlighted calls are compulsory.

What to expect in the audition?
