Daniel Connell could easily be described as the ideal Aussie comedian; affable, loveable and hilarious. His observational, dry, often unanticipated comedy has seen him take to stages all over the country.

In 2021 Daniel made his third appearance on the Oxfam Gala (ABC). He also took his show ‘I’ve Had A Flare Up’ to every Australian festival, and on a national tour.

‘Connell has mastered the art of dry, observational humour. He takes the monotonous and transmutes it into artful anecdotes and raucous punchlines as if he were crafting comedy origami.’  – The Age

Born in Australia, raised in Canada but who really gives a f*ck?

Tor Snyder is a comedic force here to win the hearts of every Australian she meets. But don’t let the adorable Canadian accent fool you. This filthy, yet endearing, comedian doesn’t hold back, she’s full of “a whole lot of sass and a whole lot of crass” and not sorry about it After being hand picked to host the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s prestigious ‘Comedy Zone’, Snyder is quickly becoming one of Australia’s best up and coming comedians. Her solo show, Tor Snyder Horse Rider, sold out and won The West Australian Newspaper Award at Fringe World 2021. She’s performed alongside some of Australia’s biggest comedians including Becky Lucas, Geraldine Hickey, Tom Gleeson, Fiona O’Loughlin, Peter Rowsthorn and Jim Jefferies.

More recently, she’s been trapped in WA where she continues to crack up audiences around the state and mould the minds of young Australian comedians in the making by running workshops for the future of comedy, Class Clown Competition.

Don’t miss the chance to see this powerhouse of laughs per minute, she’s going places (soon, when the borders open).

Dane Simpson was a Deadly Funny national finalist in 2015. Since then, it has been a fast-rising trajectory for this Wagga Wagga based comedian with a whirlwind of corporate gigs, tours, and festival runs – as both a solo artist and as part of Aborigi-LOL.

Dane has appeared on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, the Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow, Channel 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention, The Weekly, Would I Lie To You, The Hundred with Andy Lee and in feature film rom-com The Merger. He also produces the monthly Riverina Comedy Club and has been the Artistic Director of the Wagga Comedy Festival.

Nikki Britton has an electrifying stage presence, personable demeanor and lightning paced style that makes her one of Australia’s most in-demand comedy talents. Which is lucky because she did not finish uni.

Nikki is often described as a “force of nature”, but think less natural disaster, and more joy bomb. Her warmth endears her to audiences and her sharp wit will not let them catch their breath. Nikki is also a gifted storyteller, inhabiting characters and utilising physicality and dynamic vocal talent to engage a vast demographic of audience.

Her solo shows have garnered her award wins and nominations at festivals around the country. Her 2021 show One Small Step was nominated for Most Outstanding Show at the 2021 Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Other accolades include Best Comedy (weekly) at the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2019 and 2020, Best Comedy at Perth Fringe 2018) and her 2019 show, Once Bitten, was hand-picked by ABC to be created into a podcast in 2020.

As a stand up, she can be seen on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Oxfam Galas, Stan’s Australian Lockdown Comedy Festival, ABC’s Comedy Up Late and on The Comedy Channel as part of the Just For Laughs Festival. Other TV appearances include The Project, Celebrity Name Game, Hughesy We Have a Problem, Tonightly, ABC’s Comedy Up Late and The Comedy Channel’s Just for Laughs Festival. Nikki is the host of the Audible Original Podcast Plot Twist and NOVA podcast Mates Talking About Stuff with Harley Breen, and is a very popular guest on other podcasts, most notably ABC’s Days Like These and Wilosophy with Wil Anderson.

Kolkata-born, Mumbai-based Anirban Dasgupta is a stand-up comedian and writer with a distinct comedic style. Since leaving behind his career as a corporate salesman, Anirban has headlined at major comedy clubs and festivals around India and abroad.

After several popular youtube videos, he released his first stand-up special Take It Easy, in black and white on Amazon Prime Video to overwhelming acclaim. Following that, he co-wrote and co-created Afsos, a first-of-its kind black comedy thriller series on Amazon Prime Video that was released in 2020 to rave reviews.

Anirban toured to Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2019, performing to sold out houses of Comedy Zone Asia, and a return season was locked and loaded before the borders closed and the festival cancelled.

“Dasgupta is suave, smooth, and an international veteran, having launched his own Amazon Prime comedy special to rave reviews. He bares his daily struggles of life on stage and invites you to chuckle at the misfortune and agitation he puts up with. Dasgupta drinks the kool-aid but spits it right back at everyone.” BEAT
