The Multicultural Comedy Gala is a night celebrating cultural diversity with a superb line-up of some of the country’s best stand-up comedians.

Join Australia’s favourite and emerging comedic talent as they touch on cultural identity in a concoction of comedy that pokes fun at what makes us all different but very much the same. The star-studded line-up includes Ivan Aristeguieta, Dilruk Jayasinha, Georgie Carroll, Andy Saunders, Joe White, and Ting Lim in a hilarious celebration of Australia’s multicultural diversity.

So, do your soul a favour and treat it to a night of laughter you’ll never forget. You probably need it.

(NOMINEE – Most Outstanding Show MICF 2021)

IVAN ARISTEGUIETA has been living and touring around Australia for 10 years. The self-described “true blue, dinky di Venez-stralian” is an multi awardwinning comedian (including, Best Newcomer SCF 2016) with credits spanning from an annual featured spot at the Oxfam MICF Gala (2016 – 2022), JFL Montreal Comedy Festival (2017), and frequent guest appearances on Australia’s top comedy panel shows. Ivan’s latest comedy special Happy Papi (2022) is now streaming on Paramount Plus.

GEORGIE CARROLL is a Comedian, Author, Registered Nurse and family woman born in the UK, now settled in Australia. Georgie is a national sell-out act, with 7 solo shows under her belt and a recorded special with Network Ten; The Gloves are Off. She is also a familiar face on Australian TV having featured on HYBPA?, Hughesy, We Have A Problem, Oxfam MICF Gala and The Project. Georgie is touring theatres nationally in 2022 with her stand up show Sista Flo 2.0, and publicizing her much anticipated book, Off The Charts (Pan Macmillan).

Hailing from Sri Lanka, DILRUK JAYASINHA is one of the most in demand headliners on the Australian and international comedy scene; with credits ranging from appearances at Just for Laughs, a sold out show at MICF 2017; The Art of the Dil; and two recorded hour-long specials, for the ABC and Amazon Prime – released globally in 2020. Dil has regularly appeared on Network Ten’s HYBPA?; Hughesy We Have a Problem and held a recurring role on How to Stay Married. Dil reached national audiences with his appearance in the sixth series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! Australia.


ANDY SAUNDERS is an internationally sold-out comedian, with residency at some of Australia’s top comedy events (MICF; Just For Laughs; Adelaide Fringe Festival), Andy has emceed Falls Festival comedy program in 2017 and MICF’s Deadly Funny (2015) competition for rising First Nations comedy talent. He has gone on to sell out shows with Aboriginal Comedy All Stars at Adelaide Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2019) – earning a 5-star review at the world’s most prestigious comedy festival. Andy reached national TV audiences in 2019, with his appearance as a contestant on Nine Network’s renovation series The Block, alongside his wife Deb.

JOE WHITE migrated to Perth with his family as refugees in 1996. In 2017, Joe debuted Joe White: Ethiopian & Still Not Hungry, winning him a Best Comedy award in 2019 at the second largest art’s festival in the world, Fringe World Perth. Since his debut on the Australian comedy scene, Joe has been on fire; winning the FWP Best Comedy Award annually up to 2021, and Critics Choice Award in the same year. Joe has performed acclaimed solo shows at MICF and Sydney Comedy Festival. In 2022, Joe will make his debut at Edinburgh Fringe Festival – his second international tour after a successful 2017 run in Canada.


TING LIM has a dark wit and distinctive style, which has made her a rising star in the Australian comedy scene, following her debut at the prestigious MICF RAW national comedy finals. Ting has gone on to represent Queensland in the national Green Faces competition and has become a regular at the renowned Sit Down Comedy Club in Brisbane. Ting’s comedy has taken her from her native Singapore, to sharing the stage with Jimeoin and many other legendary Australian comedians, signalling the trajectory of her own rising profile. Ting recently reached her largest national audience, as she was featured on an episode of Waltzing Jimeoin (Network 10).
