Act-Belong-Commit YOH Fest is one of Australia’s biggest youth arts festivals.
YOH Fest gives school students throughout WA, the opportunity to take part in an innovative and revolutionary approach to health education. This annual initiative sees school students get together to construct and perform their own dance sequence, drama play or art piece based on a relevant youth health theme.
This year’s health theme is Belonging. The festival is unique, being the only one of its kind in Australia. It’s organised, managed and run predominately by the young and young at heart with the invaluable assistance of youth leaders amongst us within the community!
Thousands of young people participate in YOH Fest events held across WA, performing their productions in some of the best regional venue around to hundreds of audience members.
The festival is recognised by Healthway as WA’s leading forum for youth health education through the arts. the key objective of YOH Fest is to educate and empower young people throughout Australia to enable them to make positive and healthy life choices. Participating students gain skills, self- confidence and respect for others, as well as understanding of relevant youth issues.
