Finance Administrator

The Finance Administrator works closely with the Finance Manager to support the delivery of Finance Team services.

These include managing the needs of BREC’s operations in terms of: financial record keeping and reporting; obligations in terms of contracts entered into; payroll; ticket sales and event reconciliations; ensuring compliance with relevant Awards and workplace legislation; maintaining HR records; and various reporting requirements for grants, donations, and Local, State and Federal government departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of daily receipts and Accounts receivable and payable
  • Matching of purchase orders to Accounts payable
  • Payment of accounts by EFT using Commbiz or similar banking product
  • Single Touch Payroll Processing (up to 25 staff per fortnight) and paying Superannuation.
  • Taxation formalities as applies to Not for Profit organisations
  • Reconciliation of Bank Accounts
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of Petty Cash
  • Reconciliation of Jobs/Events and financial reporting to all stakeholders
  • HR records of staff employed by BREC
  • Relieve Finance team members when on annual leave or absent for extended period of time.
  • Application of Board Policy and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity of information gained in the course of doing business
  • Other duties as required

Casual Technicians

As one of the leading Entertainment Venues in Australia BREC hosts a wide range events. Seeing over 60,000 visitors to the centre each year, working here is fast-paced and dynamic. The centre hosts over 200 events annually and caters for anything from VIP pre-show events, conferences and exhibitions to award ceremonies, gala dinners and wedding receptions.

BREC is looking to bring on a number of enthusiastic technicians on a casual basis to provide support to the production team. The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a high quality of technical work, as well as provide outstanding customer service to our clients. Relevant technical industry experience is essential.

You will have a keen interest in all areas of production such as lighting, sound, audio visual, cinema operation and staging with and aware of current industry technology. A confident team player and capable of working independently. You will be able to cope well with pressure and show a strong ability to solve problems. You will be flexible in your approach to work and be able to learn new skills quickly.

All shifts are subject to availability. Casual workers are under no obligation to work the shifts offered and BREC is under no obligation to offer work on a regular basis.
