Senior Production Technician

As a highly organized and self-motivated team player you will fit right in at BREC, where we have a ‘can do’ attitude and like to get things done right.

The Senior Production Technician contributes to the efficient technical operation and maintenance of BREC and its facilities, providing a high level of service to all clients across both live performances and business events. The role is to assist in all areas of technical service provision, lead and teach others as required, and perform other duties as needed.

The Technical Services Team meet the operational requirements of BREC in relation to all events and performances. This includes working in multi-skilled areas such as lighting, sound, audio visual and staging; servicing all aspects of production within the centre.

Permanent part-time: 80 hours per month.

Hours of Work: Monday to Sunday – flexible hours as rostered

Casual Technicians

As one of the leading Entertainment Venues in Australia BREC hosts a wide range events.

Seeing over 60,000 visitors to the centre each year, working here is fast-paced and dynamic. The centre hosts over 200 events annually and caters for anything from VIP pre-show events, conferences and exhibitions to award ceremonies, gala dinners and wedding receptions.

BREC is looking to bring on a number of enthusiastic technicians on a casual basis to provide support to the production team. The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a high quality of technical work, as well as provide outstanding customer service to our clients. Relevant technical industry experience is essential.

You will have a keen interest in all areas of production such as lighting, sound, audio visual, cinema operation and staging with and aware of current industry technology. A confident team player and capable of working independently. You will be able to cope well with pressure and show a strong ability to solve problems. You will be flexible in your approach to work and be able to learn new skills quickly.

All shifts are subject to availability. Casual workers are under no obligation to work the shifts offered and BREC is under no obligation to offer work on a regular basis.
