Future Shorts - Music N MoviesFriday 10 February, 7pm Future Shorts returns to the BREC foyer in 2012 with a distinct difference... it’s BIGGER and it’s BETTER! So... what is Future Shorts? It’s a short film festival showcasing a selection of the best in short films from around the globe. Be it funny, dark, heartfelt or just plain weird, you’ll find it here at Future Shorts. Now Future Shorts is even bigger than ever with live music prior to the screenings! It’s a great opportunity to hear the fresh talent of young local musos in a unique and funky new setting. The festival takes place in over 30 countries and 60 cities with over 140 screenings, showing a single programme of the best short films often alongside live music, DJs and art. From London to Moscow, Melbourne to Jakarta, the screenings take place across a huge variety of spaces including music halls, cinemas, theatres, galleries, clubs, warehouses. Rock up, bring along a beanbag or cushion, some snacks and an open mind and get ready for some fast paced film at Future Shorts!________________________________________________________FUTURE SHORTS - LAUNCHING FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2012 Future Shorts is a monthly global event. Men in Pink TightsFriday 16 March, 8pm Making their Premiere season in Australia, Les Ballets Eloelle are bringing their new production Men In Pink Tights – the most spectacular, talented and hilarious all-male comedy ballet ever. From the thrilling pirouettes of the male dancers (in male and female costumes) with brilliant choreography to the side splitting humour, Les Ballets Eloelle’s production of Men In Pink Tights will tour Australia and New Zealand in early 2012, proudly presented by Retfar Entertainment. Les Ballets Eloelle boasts a stunning and diverse programme that consists of an eclectic mix from Classical Ballet’s greatest moments told with outstanding hilarity. The repertoire features some of the best international male ballet dancers. These handsome and beautiful soloists have performed with renowned ballet companies around the world.
