BOARD SPOTLIGHT | Ashley

MEET ASHLEY, one of BREC’s Board Members

How long have you been a member of the BREC board and what expertise / experience do you bring to the role?

I have been a board member for almost 12 months! The year has flown quickly, and I’ve very much enjoyed being on the board. I bring experience in marketing and fundraising to the board, along with a passion for the performance, arts and community engagement.

What’s your favourite part of being a part of the BREC Board of Management?

BREC has been such a big part of the community for a very long time. I love being able to help continue BREC’s story in the community. It’s really great to work with such talented people from across varying industries all working toward the same goal.

Please share your most memorable show, event or experience you’ve had at the BREC?

There are so many to choose from, but a couple spring to mind. Performing in the last two South West Opera Company performances; Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables, is high on the list. It is an honour to perform with locals at the South West’s home of performing arts.
And as an audience member; Opera Australia’s Marriage of Figaro was fantastic! Or WA Ballet Company’s Radio and Juliet (Romeo and Juliet to the music of Radiohead) was pretty darn cool!
