MEET PAUL, one of BREC’s Board Members

How long have you been a member of the BREC board and what expertise / experience do you bring to the role?

I’ve been a Board member for the last 7 years and enjoying it immensely. I hope I bring a bit, or lots of my business, strategy and technology knowledge with me from my day job and just a genuine want to help BREC continue to be a welcoming community space that presents world class live events and provides flexible conferencing spaces.

What’s your favourite part of being a part of the BREC Board of Management?

I love the varied people, personalities, and views that we have on the board, it really helps us have honest and open discussions and it has been even more helpful during the challenges that BREC has faced during the COVID journey.

Please share your most memorable show, event or experience you’ve had at the BREC?

I love the visits from the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow as it brings great interstate and state based comics to us and I have been every year for as long as I can remember… although I missed this year as I was overseas… but I think the most memorable is a recent presentation of Les Misérables by the South West Opera Company (SWOC), it was a great production by the local company with fantastic audience attendance for every show… I am slightly biased on that view as my daughter performed in those shows 😊
