BREC, Bunbury Repertory Club and Theatre 180 are pleased to present the second COMMUNITY CAPACITY BUILDING MASTERCLASS | Acting for Theatre with Taran Knight.
We are delighted to announce the second in the Capacity-building Masterclass Series presented by BREC and the Bunbury Repertory Club. This series is offered to Community Arts Organisations with a view to upskilling and empowering local artists and creatives.
The Masterclasses are invitational only and registration will be via the link shared below.
Acting with Taran Knight on Thursday 7 May 2026 from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
Interested applicants are asked to read the information below carefully and complete the EOI Form at the bottom of this page.
DETAILS
This Acting for Theatre with Taran Knight Masterclass is offered FREE to the South West Arts Community thanks to a partnership between Bunbury Repertory Club, BREC and Theatre 180.
Registrations will be handled through an EOI Process. Interested applicants are asked to submit the EOI Form below by 5pm on Monday 20 April 2026 for consideration. Applications will be assessed by the BREC Program Team.
There are 10-15 places reserved for members of Community Arts Organisations and the link to this page has been shared via invitation only. It is not open to the general public.
Successful applicants will be advised by BREC on Friday 24 April 2026 via email and/or phone.
Applicants agree that by submitting their EOI:
- They will be available to attend the Masterclass on Thursday 7 May 2026 from 7.00pm to 8.30pm
If selected they consent to:
- being photographed or videod during the Masterclass
- their details being provided to Bunbury Repertory Club (BRC) for the purposes of receiving their FREE Annual Membership.
All successful applicants will be provided with additional information at the time of being offered their place in the Masterclass and will also receive information pertaining to their FREE Annual Membership to BRC.
ABOUT TARAN
Taran is a British Actor & educator who trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. His credits include Ghosts Australia (Paramount), Coronation Street (ITV), Planet of the Humans (Nat-Geo) amongst others; with theatre credits such as Twelfth Night (Shakespeares Globe), Sanctuary from the Trenches (Royal Exchange theatre), Othello (The Lowry) and he wrote and performed his award winning one man show Our Kid, which toured the UK and Europe. He is delighted to be working with Theatre 180 for the first time and hopes to return on many occasions.
Dependant on participant level of experience, Taran’s workshop includes:
- Warm up / Improvisation work
- Listening & Responding techniques and exercises using script examples if possible
- Identity creation work focusing on physical embodiment such as Laban & Chekhov based techniques
