Summer Film Festival Opening Night Party

Last night BREC welcomed over 180 guests to the festival opening party which included a special screening of The Oddyssea – Jerome Salle’s enthralling biopic of French underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau.

Opening this year’s festival, BREC’s Executive Director, Sharon Custers, asked guests attending the event to take a chance and try something new!

‘The festival has a vast selection of films from epic Italian drama, home-grown comedy, cleaver animations, insightful documentaries and even a live televised Austrian Opera!

Sharon went on to say, ‘The twenty eighteen international film festival wouldn’t be possible without the support from our generous funding partners Lottery West, City of Bunbury, Scope and South 32 as well as our media partners GWN and Lomax Media.’

BREC’s Summer Film Festival is set to sizzle this summer with a superb line-up of films from around the globe running for five consecutive weekends from January 12th – February 10th.

The festival opens today with Italian screwball comedy and winner of the Italian Golden Globe for Best Comedy Let Yourself Go.
