MEET MEG, BREC’s Program Manager

What is your role at BREC and how long have you worked here?

I am the Program Manager and have worked with BREC for a year now. I oversee the Program team, which includes Marketing, Engagement, Creative Learning and Artistic Administration. I work with the Executive Director to program and deliver the BREC Presents Program which includes a broad range of performing arts presentations including theatre, music, dance, comedy and community presentations.

What is your favourite part of working at BREC?

I get excited about developing creative opportunities for our community and to see the community participate in those story telling opportunities. My background is as a writer and story is at the core of everything I do.

What was your favourite show, event or experience at BREC?

I always treasure sitting amongst an audience of children watching theatre. The excitement, awe and wonder the kids express when watching a live show is why I do this work. Children need theatre more than ever and my favourite work is in ensuring we engage children with BREC.
