BREC is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Burke as Technical Manager at BREC. Alan heads up the talented team of production technicians and back-stage crew at BREC ensuring that the 200 plus events held each year at BREC run like clock-work.

“We are so lucky to welcome someone with such formidable experience and technical skill to join the BREC team,” said Sharon Custers, General Manager at BREC.

“The centre sees a vast range of events from world-class stage productions to conferences and trade shows. As part of a broader strategy for the centre, we will be focusing on attracting large scale national and international corporate and consumer events to the venue, so having someone as experienced as Alan heading up our team is certainly an integral part of delivering these plans,” said Custers.

With a professional career that spans over two decades, there really isn’t much in the world of event production that phases Alan. His career has taken him all over the world providing him the opportunity to work on large scale festivals, conferences and arena rock shows, as well as work along-side some of the world’s best in the industry.

Originally from Ireland, Alan and his family have spent the past 7 years in Macau. “We are so thrilled we made the decision to relocate to Western Australia. Bunbury is a fantastic place for my family and we’ve loved exploring the Southwest. The best part of my job is working collaboratively with the team turning plans on paper into an awe-inspiring reality on the big stage and I’m really thrilled to be welcomed into such a wonderful team at BREC, ” Alan Burke, Technical Manager at BREC.
