Calle Malaga

Maria Angeles, a 79-year-old Spanish woman, lives alone in Tangier, Morocco, and enjoys her daily routine. However, her life is turned upside down when her daughter arrives from Madrid to sell the apartment in which she has always lived. What starts as a family conflict soon becomes a journey of resistance and rediscovery.

Determined to stay, Maria does everything she can to get her home and her belongings back. In the process, she becomes a pillar of her soccer-obsessed community, and unexpectedly rediscovers love and sensuality. Featuring Spanish screen legend Carmen Maura, Calle Malaga is a warm and deeply human celebration of independence, and ageing on your own terms.
