Songs in the City
Songs in the City: Rising Stars of Bunbury brings John Standley, Maddy Sawyer, Cooper Ashby, and Hattie Hynes together for a special night of live music at the BREC Cube Theatre, showcasing some of Bunbury and the South West’s most exciting young performers as part of the Songs in the City series.
Led by John Standley, returning home to Bunbury after his national success on Australian Idol, this free event gives audiences the chance to see four rising artists at an exciting point in their careers. John will be joined by Maddy Sawyer, a talented 17-year-old performer with a background in musical theatre, songwriting, and live performance, Cooper Ashby, the 14- year-old singer-songwriter known as the Voice of the Southwest, and Hattie Hynes, an emerging young local artist stepping into the spotlight.
This is a night for audiences to hear strong young voices, discover new talent, and support local artists before they take their next big steps.
Songs in the City is a free live music series created to bring quality performances into the heart of Bunbury, removing the cost barrier for audiences, and create more opportunities for local artists to perform in professional spaces. Held in the intimate setting of the BREC Cube Theatre, the event offers a relaxed and accessible night out for families, friends, and music lovers.
