We believe kids have amazing ideas and we want to hear them!

BREC is excited to announce a new pilot project that aims to engage with local children in creative ways. Titled Young Voices the purpose of the project is to create conversation between us and young people with the hope this will help us improve our venue, access and programming.

The program will consist monthly sessions for 7 months and is completely free. These sessions will facilitate aesthetic growth for the children, while allowing a process and proposal for BREC’s future engagement with young people to evolve for 2020 and beyond.

To kick start the project we are running two free creative arts workshops this July for children aged 8 to 11 years. The workshops will be an opportunity for children to tour BREC, consider what art is and if they might like to become a part of this exciting program! From the two workshops 10-12 children will be invited to continue with the 7 month program.

Who can apply?

We are looking for young thinkers, artistic types and autonomous young people aged between 8 and 11 years. Children who enjoy hands on creative activities, children brimming with ideas or lovers of theatre.
