Noongar Waangkiny (Language) & Culture Program
This August we welcome West Australia Opera to BREC with Koolbardi Wer Wardong. By Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse, Koolbardi Wer Wardong is an opera sung in Noongar Language.
To prepare for this occasion, we invite you to join our 10 week Noongar Waangkiny (Language) & Culture Program.
Led by Karen Jetta from BILYA Moorditjabiny Training Service, come along and improve your Noongar Language skills and knowledge about indigenous culture.
Here’s what you need to know
- This program is free.
- Classes are held on Tuesdays from 5.00-6.30pm at BREC.
- Classes run over 10 weeks: May 16, 23, 30, June 6, 13, 20, July 18, 25 and August 1, 8.
- Old and new participants all welcome, under 18’s to be accompanied by an adult.
