Perth’s favourite improvisers return to Bunbury by popular demand.  In the style of ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ and ‘Thank God You’re Here’, The Big HOO-HAA! is an interactive show that uses audience suggestions to create improvised comedy sketches. Two teams battle it out to win the audience’s affection and applause.  The HOO-HAA! crew includes some of Perth’s best actors and comedians working in radio, television and theatre.

Along with addressing key curriculum priorities in the Arts and English, this production meets many school wellbeing priorities, demonstrating the importance of flexibility, courage, resilience and working together.  Improvisation is an extremely useful tool to teach students not only creativity but adaptability and resilience when faced with uncertainty.  As Big HOO-HAA! founder Sam Longley puts it: “Improvisation has helped me look at life as having a billion possibilities in everything I do, so I think that I don’t get hung up on stuff, I just move on to the next possibility. And that helps keep me sane!”.
