Show's for Schools: Mr. Stink

Show's for Schools: Mr. Stink

This charming original Australian adaptation of David Walliams' award winning book comes to life on stage at BREC on Wednesday 3rd May as part of a national tour following its 2016 Sydney Opera House premiere.

Mr. Stink is the first in a series, curated by BREC, of educationally friendly productions, with school friendly sessions, educational resources for teachers and discounted ticket prices for students and teachers.

"Thanks to the ongoing support from Lotterywest, schools from outside the greater Bunbury area also have access to funding for travel expenses, making it even more viable for schools schedule these productions into their classroom lessons," said Sharon Custers, General Manager at BREC.

"The educational benefits of theatre and the arts on young minds are too many to list and I'm so excited to be able to help children to have an opportunity to be exposed to theatre and the arts," said Custers.

Following the acclaimed book, the play begins when Chloe, just about the loneliest girl in the world, makes friends with Mr Stink, the local tramp. Sure he smells a bit, but he's the only person who's ever been nice to her. So, when Mr Stink needs a place to stay, Chloe decides to hide him in the garden shed.

Now Chloe's got to make sure no one finds out her secret, but she's about to learn that some secrets have a way of leading to disaster. And speaking of secrets, there just might be more to Mr Stink than meets the eye… or the nose…

This heart-warming and comical adaptation will enthral and amuse audiences of all ages.

Mr. Stink plays at BREC for 2 performances only on Wednesday 3 May at 11am & 5.30pm. Tickets are available from or by calling 1300 661 272. Teachers interested in booking their class should contact BREC on 9792 3111.
